Alejandro O. Soto is a proud veteran of the United States Army who served in the Persian Gulf War. He is also a former federal prosecutor and senior SEC official, and the co-founder of Fridman Fels & Soto, PLLC, a white-collar criminal defense and litigation firm. He has substantial experience in complex civil disputes and white-collar crimes, including healthcare fraud, money laundering, and securities fraud, as well as securities compliance, and regulatory matters.

Alex focuses his practice on matters brought by the Department of Justice, the SEC, the Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). He focuses his practice on federal and state securities fraud and shareholder actions, SEC enforcement actions alleging unregistered and fraudulent sales of securities, insider trading, violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and related litigation.

He has also represented individuals and entities in business disputes before the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and FINRA’s arbitration forum. Alex also has significant experience representing and advising Latin American clients with business interests and holdings in the United States. Alex is also an experienced trial lawyer and teaches trial advocacy at the University of Miami School of Law.
